The mobile networks in Brazil all use the GSM character set. Unicode messages are not supported by Brazilian operators except by Tim and Claro. Concatenated SMS is supported in Brazil.
Two Way Messaging can be configured in Brazil with shared and dedicated short codes.
Delivery reports are supported by all operators in Brazil except Oi and Brazil Telecom however they are network receipts instead of handset DLR.
Besides gambling and political restrictions, there are no other content restrictions than those that prevent abuse (spam, phishing, etc). Binary messages are not supported in Brazil.
All international A2P traffic should always be sent by a shortcode. Operators don't allow A2P traffic from long numeric senders but at time of writing they have been unable to ban these practices. CM offers a shortcode solution for all customers that would like to optin to Brazil.
